Don’t Speed Through Ohio This Summer

Thursday, June 3rd, 2010

It seems that your chance of getting a speeding ticket in Ohio has just increased.  A high court in Ohio has recently ruled that a police officer may issue a speeding ticket to a driver if the car looks like it was traveling too fast.  The court voted 5 to 1 that verification of speeding is not necessary to issue a ticket.  The caveat for this ruling is that the officer must be trained, certified, and has experience with visual estimation (watching speeders).

So, slow down in OH and if you’d like more information on it the full article is here

About The Speeding Ticket Blog

Tuesday, August 11th, 2009

Speeding tickets are a controversial topic.

Some are well-deserved and punish reckless people who endanger the lives of others.

Some are issued to raise money – plain and simple. These speed traps are specifically set up to entrap motorists and collect fines.

Then there are so many debatable speeding tickets where a reasonable person can agree or disagree on whether the citation should have been issued.

In many cases, speeding tickets are flat-out wrong; issued to the wrong driver or in the wrong circumstance.

That’s why we have a court system, and why every American has the right to defend themselves and fight their speeding ticket.

This blog will attempt to report on speeding tickets, the art and science of fighting speeding tickets in court, and sometimes the funny and human side of this issue.
